COMPLIANCE PROGRAM


HLC's Compliance Program consists of standards, policies and procedures that have been designed to promote adherence, by both HLC and our valued clients, with the legal requirements of Medicare, Medi-Cal and other Federal and State health care programs. As a laboratory committed to compliance, we endeavor to ensure that we do not improperly influence the ordering physician's testing decision, and that the ordering physician retains total independence in ordering tests and determining if such tests are medically necessary. Accordingly, our requisition forms contain only federally approved panels or special panels previously created and approved by our physicians as medically appropriate. We look forward to working with our clients to make certain that we are successful in our efforts to achieve total compliance with applicable federal and state health care programs, laws and regulations.
